What a way to start the 2017/2018 Premier League Season!

A seven goal thriller at Emirates Stadium as Arsenal recorded a dramatic 4-3 win over Leicester City.

Substitute Olivier Giroud stole the headlines with a late winner to make it a heartbreaking first game for Leicester City who looked on course to record all three points.

Arsenal’s club record signing Alexandre Lacazette got the Gunners off to the perfect start when he opened the scoring after just 94 seconds.

But the Gunners woeful defending cost them once again as Leicester hit back in emphatic fashion.

Shinji Okazaki brought them level before Jamie Vardy fired them into the lead.

Danny Welbeck gave the home side a major lift when he grabbed an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

But Vardy threatened to ruin the party once again when he rose unmarked to head home on 56 minutes.

The Arsenal fans were fearing the worst once again, but two late goals inside the space of two minutes secured all three points for the north London club.

Aaron Ramsey started the comeback when he fired home from close-range before Giroud showed his quality once again when he headed home the crucial winner.

The game showed clearly that Arsene Wenger’s side might find it difficult to compete with other top teams this season as they replicated what we saw from them over a long spell last season, that is, struggling in games they clearly should be winning convincingly.
